Our multi-leveled certification program is
designed to provide for the educational needs
of lay people as well as health care
professionals. Our goal is to develop
conscientious healthcare providers who will
better serve people through compassion and
understanding, and who have developed
intuition and skills via our own unique
educational process.
The
Chinese Health Certification program teaches medical qigong for use by the
clinician, but also addresses the raw materials, the external qi that you
also can assist your clients/patients with. It can be
easier with some clients to discuss and have them understand a food and exercise
program rather than the esoteric
aspects of qigong. This well rounded approach can allow you to work with a
larger base of clients, and produce more effective healing that using one
modality alone.
Certification Programs:
So Why Study Medical QiGong at Inner
Strength?
There are
several Medical QiGong certification programs.
Choosing the one best for you is an important
step in successful completing your goal of
certification.
All quality programs require a
commitment of time and resources, so we
understand that choosing the right program is
very, very important. Therefore, we want you
to understand what makes our program different
from others.
The
Curriculum and Faculty
Inner
Strength's curriculum is like no other in the
world. You will have the benefit of the most
in-depth private medical qigong training, combine with
Dr. Cibik's background in exercise science medicine,
naturopathy, and his rounded education as Zhong Yi. Please review the curriculum and
compare. Our certification levels are also
aligned to provide you with recognition by the
National QiGong Association.
Inner Strength Health and Wellness Center has been a provider of Qigong
Certification Programs since 2001, providing
education for the practitioner, therapist and
master’s level of training in Medical QiGong.
Our Medical QiGong
curriculum is based on the teachings of Hai Dian Medical University in
Beijing China and Dr. Cibik’s daily clinic experience since 1999 of treatment of patients
using Medical QiGong Therapy.
Additional insights and perspectives of
Taoist Medicine are offered by his training and private communication
with Jeffrey Yuen, a 88th generation Taoist priest/physician
of the Yu Ching Huang Lao Pai, Yellow
emperor/Lao Tzu Sect of which Dr.Cibik is a disciple.
Like the ancient
masters Ge Hong and Sun Simaiao, we teach the ancient method of Zhuyou,
that incorporates sounds (Not to be confused with the 6 healing sounds
in most Taoist or QiGong practice) to be used as a healing method. This
method is unique to our Medical QiGong program in the United States. The
importance of sound cannot be underestimated. Perhaps one thing that
Theologians and physicists can possibly now agree upon - that there is
strong evidence that the Universe as we know it began with a sound (not
light).
Dr
Cibik is an active member of the
National
QiGong Association Board, and active as a
lecturer, author and researcher in the qigong
field.
Your
Self Development:
In addition
to learning advanced concepts from closed door
systems, Students are counseled through their own
physical, emotional and spiritual sticking
points with compassion. Working priavtely with
Dr cibik allows you to experience your own
personal health and growth while you are
working on your certification program.
Unlike being in a classroom environment, you
are not distracted by the focus or
intentions of others, but can have your
education customized to your particular
goals. The goal is having a
truly integrated individual leave each
workshop session with developmental maturity
and growth.
Inner Strength prides itself
on developing quality students who contribute
back to the community.
The Qi of
the
Location:
The experience
of the Inner Strength campus (over 30 acres)
is ideal for introspection and development. A
combination of farmland, mountaintops, rivers,
deep woods and running streams allow the flow
of Qi to be maximized where the student is
encouraged to meditate and find their true
self.
Our facility is over 5000 square feet,
with offices, classrooms, exercise areas and
treatment room, as well as locker room
facilities. Even with all this space, we limit
class size to provide for personalized
experiences. We have the largest medical
QiGong Education Facility in the United
States.
Feng Shui
principals were used in the design of the
building and the classrooms for optimal comfort, stimulation and
relaxation for all who enter. Our modern
classroom was ceremonially dedicated and
constructed for gathering natures energy and
conducive to optimal learning. Many people
have commented how peaceful they feel just
walking through the door! A separate matted
area that is climate controlled, and allergy
free is available for those who are immune
compromised.
Inner
Strength campus is located in lovely rural
Western Pennsylvania. We are able to offer
lower tuition fees, and the cost of
accommodations and food in our area are quite
reasonable.
Inner
Strength also offers ongoing classes in T’ai
chi and QiGong on Thursday evening, that are
open to our seminar students. These classes
can be counted towards your hourly requirement
for extended studies in t’ai or qigong.
About the Chinese
Health program
The
Chinese Health Certification series is specifically for
those practitioners who want to engage in the prescription of food, herbs
and drink along with Medical QiGong for healing. Participants will learn how to explain and work with allopathic physicians
and physical therapists by being capable and proficient at explaining how taichchuan, QiGong, Medical QiGong, internal martial arts and yoga
practices actually work using exercise science/physiology terminology with
concepts standardized by the American College of Sports Medicine.
We have found that in working with
fitness clients, martial arts students and Chinese medicine patients, a
blended approach to balanced health can meet the needs of even those
skeptical of perhaps medical qigong on it's own. Being able to
communicate with 'hard core' clients first about food, then exercise,
and then working more in the energetic plane, allows you to build your
credibility with your client in the 'real world' approaches to
health and wellness, before working in the realms for moving qi,
and working with qi blockages.
Our busy clinic is in rural
Pennsylvania, where alternative medicine itself is a new concept, and
Chinese Medicine is practically unheard of. This blended approach also gives the
client/patient the ability to be involved directly in their own health
and healing through diet and exercise choices. This team approach is
crucial to the success of any modality also employing medical qigong
treatments.
